Heat-activated films

Thermosetting products based on a phenolic resin and nitrile rubber

Heat activated adhesive films are thermosetting products based on a phenolic resin and nitrile rubber. They are not tacky at room temperature and require a combination of heat and pressure. After curing they offer a very high bond strength – up to 5 times that of normal pressure-sensitive, double-sided tapes, temperature resistance from -50°C to 500°C , excellent ageing, chemical and solvent resistance , as well as being both flexible and elastic due to the rubber component. tesa HAF films are suitable for bonding metal, glass, wood, textiles and plastics.
