Low-pressure injection moulding with hotmelt adhesives
Hotmelts for encapsulating electronic components are proving to be a cost effective solution in many sectors.
Henkel's Macromelt range is now available from Techsil. These newly launched compounds are not only technically advanced, but are produced from renewable resources, making them environmentally friendly. The advantage of Macromelt moulding over more traditional 2K potting compounds is its much shorter cycle times of 10 to 50 seconds. In addition, since there is no need for a separately produced shell, production savings can be achieved.
