With proper maintenance, and when used in combination with NCH's Flush and Clean product to perform a flushing procedure before changing, it is claimed that Top Blend can last up to four times longer than ordinary gear oils. This means it can work for up to 320,000km in automotive gear boxes or around 8,000 hours in stationary equipment.
Top Blend's formula incorporates adhesive polymers, tackifiers, anti-foam, anti-corrosive and anti-friction agents, emulsifiers, detergents, pour depressants, shock-load reducers and leak inhibitors.
This combination is said to significantly improve component life, reducing downtime, labour costs and the frequency of parts replacement. Providing a high thermal stability, Top Blend is also claimed to ensure fewer oil changes and improves seal quality, which results in less oil needing to be replaced due to leaks.
