The spring plunger is formed of a sleeve composed of passivated A4 steel (1.4404), while the springs and the ball consist of passivated steel (1.4568) and ceramic (Si3N4), respectively. This selection of materials provides a high degree of corrosion protection and outstanding wear resistance – even under the most extreme conditions of use.
Featuring a distinctive black colour, the ball offers additional advantages:
- It is harder than most usual standard parts
- Impact-resistant
- Electrically insulating
- Non-magnetic
Normally our spring plungers tested specifically for spring deflection and elastic force whereas our new corrosion resistant spring plungers are subjected to weather resistance testing as well.
The results speak for themselves:
Salt spray test: The spring plungers withstood the salt spray test without any difficulty for 96 hours.
Cold tests revealed: The spring plungers do not freeze up and remain fully operational even in temperatures below freezing.
Temperature Test: spring plungers are suitable for use in the upper temperature range up to 250°C.
