Decentralised inverters get performance boost
Nord Drivesystems has extended its SK 200E series of decentralised drive solutions to include a new size 4 inverter with a rated power output from 11 to 22kW.
The self-cooling inverters are available for motor-mounting or with a wall mounting kit. Standard functions include sensorless current vector control, an integrated brake chopper, a control module for an electromagnetic brake and the safety function 'Safe Torque Off'.
According to Nord, the inverters are not limited to basic functions and possess the same functional range as the SK 500E control cabinet inverters. An analogue input allows for variable speed adjustment of an SK 200E pump drive, and, if a pressure or flow sensor is connected to the second analogue input, for example, the SK 200E is optimised to actively and autonomously control process values.
The devices feature an integrated energy saving function which is designed to kick in during partial load operation. Their IP55 housing is said to provide protection from dust and water jets.
