‘Intelligent’ inverter can handle drive-related tasks without an external controller

The new 'intelligent' inverter is designed to support a wider range of drives than its sister models and is said to be able to control synchronous motors without an external PLC. The module integrates a high performance microprocessor for high speed cutting processes in turning and milling, and provides the safety function Safe Torque Off. A sensorless current vector control and brake chopper have been integrated for regenerative operation.
