As the sole distributor of FAULHABER motors in the UK and Ireland, EMS will provide design engineers with insight into several of the brand’s key products, including the BXT-SC series, AM3248 stepper motor and new L-series of linear actuators.
Celebrating its tenth year, EDS supports design engineers looking to source expertise in several areas of industry, including electronic components, drives and controls and design and manufacturing services. With over 200 exhibitors from across engineering, electronics and embedded systems under one roof, the show acts as a knowledge hub for all areas of product and component design.
At the show, EMS will be showcasing several flagship products from FAULHABER. That includes the BXT series of brushless flat motors with external rotor technology, available in low-to-medium speed motor options for applications that require a high torque in short design, high efficiency and long service life. The brushless flat DC-servomotors are available in both housed and unhoused versions, which further widen the scope of application.
The unhoused BXT R models are ideal for speed-controlled applications in which high powers are transformed, as the residual heat from the motor is optimally dissipated. The housed BXT H range, however, is recommended for positioning applications, as the motors can be combined with a variety of optical and magnetic encoders.
Furthermore, the AM3248 stepper motor is particularly suited for positioning tasks that require the highest levels of accuracy. The AM3248’s motor contains rare-earth permanent magnets, enabling a high power-to-volume ratio. It is compatible with planetary gearheads and electronic motion controllers to deliver high power density and very high acceleration.
Finally, EMS will showcase the latest of FAULHABER’s product launches at the show. First launched earlier in 2022, the L-series of linear actuators are designed to provide high performance in a small space envelope. The 22L and 32L linear actuators can be combined with a wide portfolio of motors such as FAULHABER
“For a decade, EDS has provided design engineers with a one-stop shop to enjoy the latest developments in engineering design, and to ask their burning design questions,” said Stewart Goulding, managing director of EMS.
“Potential applications of precision motors are incredibly varied and, as a returning exhibitor, we look forward to showing people the many possibilities of DC micromotors.
“We hope EDS will open us up to many more micromotor applications, and will give us the opportunity to showcase their varied potential across industry.”
EMS will be at the Engineering Design Show from 12-13 October 2022 at stand E55. Register your free place here.
