Held as part of Manufacturing and Engineering Week, the show allows the design engineering community to connect directly with suppliers from design services, electronics, embedded systems through to testing, measurement and more to address today’s manufacturing challenges. As the UK and Ireland’s exclusive supplier of FAULHABER drive systems, EMS will be on hand to guide visitors on the latest developments in micromotors and actuation systems and their applications across industry.
This includes the L series of linear actuators, first launched by FAULHABER in 2022 and the range expanded in February 2023. The family of actuators is designed for high performance in compact dimensions, and can support both large input speed and high output force. Several uniformly distributed reduction ratios are available to enable the most appropriate configuration for various force or speed operating points, as required by the given application.
While smaller versions of the actuators, namely the 06L, 08L and 10L, are ideal for medical, lab automation, optics and photonics and space applications, the larger 22L 32L make use of GPT gear technology and thus are geared towards industrial automation applications, as well as optics and photonics.
“Exhibiting the new FAULHABER L series of linear actuators at this year’s Design Engineering Expo will provide visitors with an insight into the potential of robust, flexible actuation systems,” explained Dave Walsha, sales manager at EMS.
“The L series is complemented by a wide portfolio of combinable motors, such as FAULHABER DC motors, 4-pole and 2-pole brushless motors and stepper motors, with customer specific modifications also possible. A large selection of screw sizes and types are available to support a variety of ambient conditions and make mechanical integration inside applications faster and smoother through various flange and nut configurations.
“We’ll be offering our support and advice on exactly how the L series can benefit the next innovations in design engineering, and to discuss how existing products and applications can benefit from smaller, lighter and more precise drive systems. Naturally, the team will be on hand to discuss the full breadth of products we supply and will showcase how a variety of applications make use of micromotors.”
EMS will be exhibiting at Design Engineering Expo from stand K50. Learn more about how drive systems from EMS can benefit your application by visiting the website.
