Free promotion stands offered to inventors

A number of free stands are being offered at this year's British Invention Show in Alexandra Palace, London.

Young innovators will be offered 50 free stands, with an additional 10 offered to innovators of green technologies competing in the Natural Earth Awards. A further 10 free stands are on offer in a Lottery draw from patent applications made by individuals during the past two years. The event takes place from October 14th to 17th 2009 in the West Hall at Alexandra Palace and will include delegates from across the globe, while Eureka Magazine's group technical editor, Dr Tom Shelley will be amongst the judging panel. Applicants for free or subsidised stands should send a brief outline of the invention, innovation or design to show@thebis.org accompanied by contact information and up to four pictures. Applicants will then be advised whether or not they have been successful by email. The closing data is midnight Friday August 7th. Once all grant positions have been allocated, a notice will be posted on www.thebis.org. Innovators who have already brought a product to market - or who just wish to demonstrate their engineering skills - should additionally consider entering the British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEAs). Entirely free to entrants, the application deadline is July 31st - just 10 days away. The BEEAs Awards ceremony will take place at The Globe Theatre, London on October 1st.
