The main briefing and Q&A event will take place in Droitwich Spa, Worcester, on Thursday 3 September 2015 where potential applicants can get more details and information.
Innovate UK and OLEV want to invest in collaborative research and development projects which significantly reduce the weight of vehicles, to help cut CO2 and other emissions. The funding on offer is split across two separate £20m 'low carbon' funding competitions. Small businesses could receive up to 70% of their eligible project costs. With 80% of Motorsport Valley being made up of innovative SMEs, the MIA encourages companies not to miss out on this valuable offer.
Chris Aylett, ceo of the MIA, said: "This is a really great opportunity for MIA members and the wider Motorsport Valley community, which has benefited from Innovate UK in the past few years.
"Motorsport Valley SMEs are uniquely positioned to help commercialise innovation but, in many cases, this would not be possible without UK government support through Innovate UK. We would like to see even more companies from our sector take advantage of this funding and advice. Innovate UK is a vital resource for Motorsport Valley, and its support should be utilised."
