The theme of Phil’s Presidential year is “Our Institution: Building the Future” as he and our leadership team look to strengthen the Institution, so it is well placed for the challenges ahead and to deliver our vision of improving the world through engineering.
Phil Peel said, “I am proud to take office in such a momentous anniversary year, in which we aim to celebrate and honour our past whilst looking confidently towards the future. As President, I want to focus on how we can build for the future and support our members to tackle the many global challenges we face.”
Phil, who lives in Switzerland, will be the Institution’s first non-UK resident President and one of his priorities in office will be to extend our global reach. He will also be looking to develop the Institution’s new long-term strategy and support our diversity and inclusion work.
