Porsche tuner Gemballa introduces diamond based car coating
German tuning house Gemballa has introduced what it claims to be the world's first interior and exterior diamond based car coating.
"When we speak of diamonds, we really mean it", explained ceo Andreas Schwarz. "Our complex process uses genuine diamonds as its key ingredient - not metal pigments, glass fragments, or crystals."
By grinding the diamonds down into small enough pieces, the company has been able to apply the rare gemstone like paint. The result is a highly reflective finish that glistens in sunlight.
