Tubing clamp offers ‘unsurpassed’ corrosion resistance
A new snap-together tubing clamp, constructed almost entirely from 6Mo austenitic stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance, has been launched by Parker Hannifin.
The Snap-Trap was developed in response to the challenges being faced by energy companies looking to recover and process oil and gas from more remote and environmentally hostile areas.
Supplied as a preassembled one-piece unit, it is said to be particularly suitable for applications in high chloride environments such as offshore oil and gas production platforms, and desalination plants. The module can be installed quickly and easily, and can be re-used as often as required.
The clamp fully complies with NORSOK standard Z-CR-101 and can be fitted 'in seconds'. Parker estimates that the device can reduce installation time by as much as 40%.
