Ecocomp
The 4th International Conference on Sustainable Materials, Polymers and Composites takes place on 6 - 7 July 2011, at The Studio, 7 Canon Street, Birmingham. This is a 5 - 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station.
Composite materials derived from natural, renewable sources have received significant interest in recent years, in particular due to the increased awareness of environmental issues and the drive towards more sustainable technologies. The use of renewable materials helps the depletion of the earth's resources and the instability in the price of oil and energy has encouraged industry to look for more stable alternatives.
Continuing the success of previous Ecocomp Conferences, the 2011 event will explore the future direction of international research and application of sustainable materials, polymers and composites within the academic, industrial and wider social environments.
