Offering excellent surface quality and dimensional accuracy Stereolithography offers a cost effective solution for the production of high quality prototype models, tooling aids and master patterns for low volume production.
With a dedicated in house SLA machine room featuring 4 Stereolithography machines LPE has the capacity to meet tight project lead times without compromising on part quality. Running the Viper Si2 Machine LPE offers High Resolution builds (expected tolerance ±0.1/100mil) in a choice of 5 resins. Based on the growing demand for large SLA components within the Aerospace and Automotive industry LPE introduced the iPro8000, the largest SLA machine in the UK and Ireland with a build platform of 650 x 750 x 550mm.
Having worked with customers across a wide range of industry sectors over the past 20+ years, we are aware that no two projects are the same. To best meet our customers project requirements LPE has continued to invest in the very latest SLA materials and will continue to expand its materials range going forward. Our current SLA material range includes;
- Si25 – A flexible PP simulant ideal for the production of snap fits and functional assembly components.
- Si60 – A rigid PC simulant suitable for the production of prototype models requiring some level of transparency.
- SL7820 – Black ABS simulant with exceptional surface detail.
- Ceramax / Bluestone – Ceramic filled materials ideal for rigid high temperature applications
- Nanotool - Nanoparticle filled resin with exceptional thermal resistance
- Xtreme – A Grey PC/ABS simulant ideal for functional / destructive testing
- Watershed – Medically approved (USP Grade VI) resin with water resistance & excellent optical clarity.
