KEB’s C6 VPN Router has been specially designed for use in remote installations and industrial settings. The C6 Router and COMBIVIS software have been tested to IEC62443 – “security for industrial Automation and control systems” which helps to address the question of on-line security.
The router comes in a small package – 138mm high, 116mm deep and either 35 or 45mm wide depending upon the model selected.
There is a standard option to use a SIM Card to take advantage of the 2G/3G/3G+ wireless connection via any GSM network, ideal when connection via the WAN port is not accessible or allowed. This can give greater flexibility in setting up an installation, providing access in remote areas as well as enabling maintenance, upgrades and commissioning all to be done remotely.
The Router’s software is designed for remote maintenance and provides access to its Ethernet and serial communication based devices down to subnet level.
A version also has visualisation software installed – KEB’s COMBIVIS studio HMI. This not only provides additional functions including data logging, alarm management, and analysis tools but also the ability to create a virtual HMI resulting in data being easily displayed, understood and accessed.
The KEB C6 family of routers is completely hardware independent and can be used with any third party controls without restrictions. Thanks to the wide range of communication drivers available, linking to any controllers is fast and easy and there is a USB, Serial, Ethernet LAN & WAN connections on all models.
