Ribbed belts ideal for conveyors
Due to differing lengths and varying levels of elongation, matched sets of V-belts will always have an unequal distribution of tension and load, which often leads to uneven wear and premature failure.
Wyko's Conti-V Multirib drive belts have the strength needed to replace entire matched sets with one single belt, ensuring uniform tension and load throughout the drive system. This results in extended operating life, a reduction in downtime and inventory costs. The ribbed profile and reinforced construction of the belts offers increased torque capacities, operating speeds and reduced pulley wheel sizes.
The belts permit single stage transmission of up to 1:40 and allow designers to reduce the size of pulley wheels, making systems more compact and reliable. In back tension roller applications, the belts provide high fatigue strength under reverse bending.
For applications where drives are subjected to high levels of stressing and counter flexing, the PL and PM profile belts are offered with capped tips and load bearing members that can withstand 50% more stress than standard versions. Wyko also offers an on-site cutting service. DP
