Contrast sensors from Leuze electronic
According to Leuze electronic, its latest range of contrast sensors comes from a completely new common design platform and provides a high level of component integration.
The range includes the KRT 3B - said to be the smallest in the industry - the stainless steel KRT 55 and the KRT 20B, all of which are available in a choice of multicolour RGB or white light versions. The KRT 3B also offers an additional option of laser light to ensure accurate switching in challenging applications.
All of the sensors feature IO-Link to offer full adjustment remotely during start up, production and service. Leuze claims sensor calibration is no longer necessary because all of the process parameters for up to 30 configurations can be stored within the sensor. Product changes can therefore be made over the IO-Link in a short time.
A wider range of diagnostic functions can be called up via IO-Link according to the company, because the sensors support the new IO-Link concept where the data is retained. Leuze says sensor replacement during service is also easier as all relevant data is automatically backed up and duplicated.
