PCB verification support from Eurocircuits
Printed circuit board manufacturer Eurocircuits has launched three online upgrades to its customer services.
The new features have been developed to give users critical information on the design and manufacture of their pcbs in a convenient, easy access format.
The pcb verification support report is generated whenever a customer launches an inquiry based on layout data. It provides a complete visual report on the job, giving a detailed analysis of the board parameters from minimum track and gap to multilayer stack up, plus a true colour image of the finished pcb. Targeted visuals pinpoint each of the minimum design characteristics for fast review. At the same time, Eurocircuits' engineers run a complete manufacturability check on the data. If they find areas where the layout can be modified to enhance product reliability and/or reduce costs, they deliver a second, well illustrated report.
When a customer has placed an order and the job has gone through the digital preparation department, they can click the 'pcb image' icon to view the board even before it is made. As well as the board image, they receive a mechanical drawing showing critical dimensions and drill data. As the image is filed with the job data, it provides a fast double check if the job is later re ordered.
The final development is the 'pcb support'. This provides a detailed record of the production of every batch of boards. It lists in a clear PDF file the dates of production, the materials used and critical measurements made by Eurocircuits' team. With built in links to the material specifications, the pcb passport provides a fast guide to the board's expected performance as well as a detailed reassurance that the board has been produced to the design specification. The passport is stored with the job indefinitely and can always be accessed via a simple icon.
