Steering column bearing cuts noise and vibration
SKF has launched an angular steering column bearing for passenger cars and light trucks.
The patented solution is designed to replace standard wavy springs and offers low noise and vibration levels.
In addition, SKF says it offers a 20% reduction in torque and 80% reduction in torque variation.
The module is made out of rubber and comes with a pre-load system. Cusotmised versions can be made to order.
