Steering rack bearing enables more precise car steering
SKF has introduced a new steering rack bearing for cars with electric power steering.
The device is designed to reduce friction by up to 30%, increase load resistance by up to 17% and durability by 20%. SKS says it enables drivers to control their driving with greater precision.
Benefits include an improved internal design, which comprises solid shoulders to support high loads and shocks as well as reduced friction torque.
The size of the bearing can be customised depending on requirements.
