igus QuickPin 2.0 makes cable design simple

QuickPin 2.0 utilises ePLAN's P8 platform to make the selection of chainflex cable and connectors quicker and easier. According to igus, each custom cable configuration is assigned a unique part number for easy ordering and speedy delivery, producing results in just minutes. With easy individual pin allocation, more than 850 igus chainflex cables and about 3,000 plug and socket components to choose from, QuickPin 2.0 delivers engineers a cable design configuration that can be stored via the download manager and easily recalled and/or modified, thus saving time and costs further down the line. To accommodate plug variations, QuickPin 2.0 features an easy to use, menu driven selection tool, which has inbuilt logic checking. In addition, the sophisticated software generates clear pictures of the layout, the price (including the copper surcharge), as well as producing a macro for each cable.
