MENE has achieved great success since it was launched in 2015 as a new, regional event for the North East.
With such high calibre short lists for both categories at the PPA Connect Awards, picking up two awards has further highlighted the exceptional achievement of the event and the huge effort put in by the whole team at Findlay Media.
Upon receiving the awards, the judges commented, “this was a shining example of how to launch a successful regional event: very well thought-through, with great planning and execution, all backed by strong market research.
“The team behind Manufacturing and Engineering North East really knew their intended targets and worked hard to get absolutely everyone in the market involved. This is an excellent back-to-basics lesson that outperformed all expectations, and rebookings have already shown that this is an event with a bright and sustainable future.”
MENE was launched in July 2015 to not only champion the UK engineering and manufacturing sector, but also to provide a platform from which to build on the North East's successful industrial heritage.
More than 1300 delegates attended the show across the two days, where new business contacts were established amongst the varied array of exhibitors from machinery, robotics, design and other disciplines.
MENE will return to the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on 6 and 7 July 2016.
