Quartz filled, heat resistant epoxy compound
Master Bond Supreme 45HTQ is a two component epoxy that has a quartz filler for high performance structural bonding and casting applications. This system also features superior toughness and excellent heat resistance.
With an outstanding combination of physical properties, Master Bond Supreme 45HTQ is ideal for demanding structural bonding and casting applications. In fact, it is widely used in the aerospace, electronic, electrical, computer, metalworking, appliance, automotive and chemical industries.
Supreme 45HTQ is a two component, quartz filled epoxy compound with excellent adhesion to similar and dissimilar substrates, such as metals, glass, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubber and many plastics. It is formulated to cure in 2-3 hours at temperatures ranging from 275-325°F. This system is suitable for applications where long-term exposure to severe temperatures from -60°F to +450°F is required. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents.
This two component epoxy has a convenient 100 to 30 mix ratio by weight. It is color coded to ensure thorough and efficient mixing. The color of Part A is tan; and Part B is tan to brown. Users should mix both parts together until the color is even and uniform. It has a long working life exceeding 12 hours for a 200 gram batch. Supreme 45HTQ can be easily applied by a knife or trowel. It has a moderate viscosity that can be smoothly applied with only contact pressure required to cure.
As a toughened epoxy system, Supreme 45HTQ produces durable, high strength bonds that are remarkably resistant to rigorous thermal cycling as well as mechanical shock and vibration. It also withstands a variety of chemicals including water, oil and most organic solvents. The hardened adhesive is also an excellent electrical insulator.
