IC Measure is an application for the measurement of lengths, surfaces and angles that also provides image capture and image enhancement functions. The software is calibrated using an ocular micrometer or an object of known size, making it possible to define image scale from µm to km.
The integration of image capture and image enhancement makes the manual measurement of lengths, angles, circles and polygons particularly efficient. The lens distortion filter is said to correct barrel, pincushion, and vignetting distortions. Sophisticated image processing and optimisation routines, such as histogram comparison, allow for the enhancement of relevant image details.
IC Measure also offers a variety of annotation tools, which allow the user to add texts, graphics and arrow mark-ups.
